My name is Steve Martinez. I am a retired Chicago Police Officer with 32 years of service. Experiences included working within the Bureau of Organized Crime, Narcotics Division, providing Narcotic Detection Canine (K9) support to a variety of Counter Narcotic Operations to include the DEA Task Force and the H.I.D.T.A. Initiative, while also responsible for the Bureau of Organized Crime Canine (K9) Program. I have handled 4 Narcotic Detection Canines, 1 Multi-Purpose Canine and a Full-Service Patrol Dog over my years with CPD.

I am currently working for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas as the Enterprise Armed, Special Response Team (SRT) / Canine (K9) Program Manager. Responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Canine (K9) Program which covers over 50 properties throughout the Caesars Empire.

I am a EDD Certifiying Official for Drug Beat Professional K9 Certifications
